For the inaugural voyage of the Orient Express Corinthian, the world’s largest sailing yacht, Tai Ping collaborated with renowned interior designer and creative director, Maxime d’Angeac to create a bespoke carpet collection spanning all 54 suites and key guest areas throughout the vessel. Inspired by the elegance of Art Deco, the legacy of the Orient Express, and the rhythm of the sea, the designs combine geometric ornamentation, flowing wave motifs and a refined palette of warm neutrals. Crafted from New Zealand wool and enriched with carved and beveled details, the collection was developed to complement the yacht’s interior design concept. In total, Tai Ping designed and produced 2,400 m² of custom carpets and rugs for the project.
