In a historic Parisian residence once home to legendary couturier Pierre Balmain, interior architects have reimagined luxury with bold creative vision. Nestled within the iconic Immeubles Walter, an Art Deco landmark bordering the Bois de Boulogne, this singular apartment embraces a “jungle chic” aesthetic where rare marbles, exotic woods and natural fibres merge with unapologetic elegance.

At the heart of the expansive reception space, a gold leaf–clad dining room crowned by twin fireplaces and a sculptural metal-and-leather table sets the tone for an interior that is both theatrical and deeply refined. Every room is a study in contrast, intimacy and scale, crafted with meticulous attention to detail.

Within this curated environment, the choice of rugs subtly reinforces the apartment’s distinctive character. Hanakasuri I, from the Rêves d’Orient collection, and Hybride II, from the Revanche collection, integrate seamlessly into the design, echoing the space’s refined materiality and thoughtful contrasts.
